Summer at Snape – Music & Arts Festival

About the Summer at Snape Festival

Summer at Snape, which usually runs for a full month throughout August, presents a highly diverse programme of world class music and arts entertainment and enrichment. It has inclusivity as its focus and season tickets and a selection of affordable tickets are made available.

Sir Benjamin Britten and his partner, singer Peter Pears, founded the Aldeburgh music festivals in 1948. The concert series and arts events and exhibitions, underpin Britten’s firm commitment to making the arts “useful” and support positive change. The experiences on offer through the Aldeburgh Festival have proven power to transform lives, bring communities together and enhance daily life.

The Britten Pears Arts organisation was formed in 2020, on the merger of Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Music) and the Britten-Pears Foundation (responsible for running the Britten and Pears’ estate).
