Fressingfield Sounds announces its first concerts of the year at Chapel Hall Arts, 7.30pm. On 28 February, bass-baritone Jonathan Lemalu performs with pianist Kathryn Mosley. On 9 May, virtuoso pianist Andrey Gugnin presents works by Grieg, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky. Tickets from £5.

Birds for Beginners at RSPB Minsmere is a series of friendly sessions for those new to birdwatching. Starting at 10am and lasting 2.5 hours, guides share tips on binoculars, field guides and apps, with visits to hides to practise skills and discover the wonder of birds.
A relaxed morning recital features musicians from the Prometheus Orchestra, with Kathryn Parry (violin), Jody Hughes (cello), and Jonathan Rutherford (piano) performing Schubert’s Piano Trio in B flat major, D.898 in an intimate and welcoming setting.
