The Suffolk Coast Ltd, established in 2012, is the official Destination Management Organisation for East Suffolk. It promotes the Suffolk Coast as a visitor destination and supports long-term tourism strategy to boost the region’s appeal and visitor economy.

The community centre is available for private and community hire and hosts a range of activities from lunch clubs to art groups and more. The large hall (capacity – 120 people / 70 seated at tables) also has an enclosed garden area suitable for outdoor activities an functions. Aldeburgh United Charities
Formed in 1914, Aldeburgh United Charities has the aim of aim of supporting various charitable causes within the local community. It is particularly known for annual fundraising events, which are often highlights in the town’s social calendar. The charity plays a vital role in improving the lives of many individuals and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

Aldeburgh Library is one of Suffolk’s 45 Community Libraries and is open daily. It offers free WiFi, plus access to computers, photocopying and laminating, as well as regular library services and a home library service. Skills development courses are run here for all to enjoy through the Aldeburgh Libraries Foundation.

Alde & Ore Estuary Trust
A charity dedicated to providing, preserving, maintaining and upgrading the flood defences on the river walls, always taking into account the conservation and protection of the natural environment, flora, fauna, features of historic interest and the landscape and beauty of the Alde and Ore.

Alde & Ore Community Partnership
The new Alde & Ore Community Partnership, formed to help deliver an Estuary Plan for the Alde and Ore area with every parish bordering the two rivers having a seat on the Partnership.

Alde & Ore Association
A membership organisation for the protection and preservation of the valley of the River Alde, an essential part of the Suffolk coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It also ensures the upkeep of public footpaths and sponsors the Butley Ferry, an historic row-boat ferry across Butley River in operation during the summer months courtesy of volunteer oarsmen.
Church of Our Lady & St Peter

Aldeburgh’s Roman Catholic church looks out to sea from The Terrace at the top of the town steps. Despite its crenelated porch, flint façade and truncated round tower, it is not as old as it may first appear, dating from around 1925 and displaying an Arts & Crafts movement influence. Aldeburgh’s Catholic parish extends to include All Saints, Leiston.
Church of St Peter & St Paul

Aldeburgh parish church with its 14th century tower, mighty south porch and impressive, welcoming interior is well worth a visit. Inside, its memorials include a stunning stained glass window tribute to Sir Benjamin Britten by renowned artist, John Piper. It is part of the Alde Sandlings Benefice.

Providing volunteer-run transport services to people in Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham, Framlingham, Woodbridge and surrounding villages when access to public transport is unavailable. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Enabling people who may need a little more assistance to remain independent and get out and about. Also minibus hire to local community groups to support their activities.
